Sammy Jo writes plays that explore what it means to be in love and about the complexities of different relationships–platonic, romantic, familial, etc. She aims to leave her audience with a strong feeling of either hopefulness or despair. Sometimes, she wants her audience to feel regret. Dramas are her favorite thing to write, but she also dabbles in comedies and has high hopes of writing the next Mamma Mia (using One Direction tunes instead of ABBA).
